For sale is a Fender Contemporary Stratocaster model ST-557 built in 1984-1987 at the Fugi-gen factory in Japan. This guitar boasts a Candy Apple Red finish, sleek neck with rosewood fretboard, Fender System 1 floating tremolo system, and high output single coil pickups. There are several dents and scratches, fret wear, and hardware finish wear, however it functionally solid, as with most Fugi-gen guitars, and has been professionally set-up with low action. The electronics are clean, tremolo is fully functional, and the truss rod was tested and works in both directions. It has a thin, fast neck that feels wonderful to play. If you have not played an 80’s Japanese-built Strat then you absolutely must! This is a versatile, quality shredder that is sure to put a smile on your face.
